I caught Liz Fraser. She works as a boat designer and builder.
Liz said she uses maths all day not just measuring pieces off wood but also calculating load bearing strengths and centres of gravity.

This is the first boat she built when she was 14 !

Great find James. Can you add more information about the kinds of mathematics Liz uses. We covered some areas of geometry last term that you might want to look at.
